The project management workshop is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the PMI’s project management framework. The workshop covers both traditional (waterfall) and agile project management topics. It also acquaints the participants with benefits of PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP)® and other certifications (CAPM and PMI-ACP etc.).

As a result, participants will not only acquire fundamental knowledge of project management practices to improve their project delivery, but will also be able to determine which PMI certifications will best suit their career ambitions.

This workshop helps participants get better and professional understanding of PMI’s project management framework to apply to their real world projects.

Workshop Format:

  • 4 Days x 7.5 Hours of activity-based lecture sessions
  • 3 Hours Self-Assessment Exam
  • 3 Hours of application preparation and review (after the workshop)

Training Modes: The training sessions are held through the following modes:

  • Online Training (through zoom) – By default all open-enrollment trainings are conducted online
  • Physical Training – conducted for corporate clients on special request (cost may vary)

Add-On:

  • Pass Surety: CAD 500 (per head)

What is Pass Surety?

Pass Surety is an option offered for those participants who want to be absolutely sure to pass the exam. Participants opting for this package receive the following additional benefits, after the regular raining:

  • Individual mentoring and exam preparation help.
  • Specialized practice tests for maximum exam practice and preparation
  • Regular (weekly or bi-weekly) sessions with the trainer to assess preparation.
  • Individual guidance on areas of improvement, based on practice tests

The trainer will assess your preparation and give you the ‘Go-Ahead’ for taking the exam. In case the participants fail the exam, the exam re-attempt fee will be paid by us. The trainer will provide guidance to participants of Pass Surety option till the time they clear the exam within the application validity period of 1 year.

Question: Is this Project Management Workshop specifically for PMP exam preparation? 

Answer: This is a generic workshop and not restricted to PMP exam preparation. The workshop serves a bigger purpose i.e. introduces both traditional and agile topics, and provides guidance on PMP and other (CAPM, ACP) exams, and which exams are best for which participants. You may however use this workshop to apply for PMP, CAPM, and PMI-ACP exams.

Question: What are the steps to getting PMP certified?

Answer:

  1. Get the mandatory training
  2. Fulfill the experience requirements
  3. Submit application
  4. Pass the exam

Question: How many questions are included in the PMP exam?

Answer: The PMP examination consists of 180 multiple-choice questions, to be completed in 3 Hours and 50 Minutes.

Question: Where is the PMP Exam conducted? 

Answer: The exam is conducted at Pearson Exam Center, or virtually at your own location (online proctored exam). Once your application is approved, you will receive a notification containing the link for choosing the exam center location and the desired date, or through proctored exam at your own location.

Question: What are the pre-requisites?

Answer: We break it down for you in three simple steps

  1. Educational Requirements: 16 years of education (equivalent to bachelors degree)
  2. Experience: 3 years (36 months) of project experience (being a part of a project team, working on a project)
  3. Project Management Training: 35 hours of instructor-led training. The Project Management Workshop may be used to fulfill this requirement

Question: What is the exam cost?

Answer: PMI exam costs USD 555 (non-members) and USD 405 (members). Membership is USD 129 per year

Question: If I cannot attend the Training, after depositing the fee, do I get a refund?

Answer: Yes, in case you have paid for the project management workshop and are unable to attend the training, your fee will be reimbursed without deduction as long as you have requested for the refund at least 7 days before the start of training. Within the last 7 days (before start of training), you may get a refund after 30% deduction. You may also change your batch to another batch without any deduction.

Question: Should I be from any specific industry to benefit from this workshop?

Answer: PMI’s certifications are industry-agnostic – means that they are generic certifications, and not specific to any industry. You can benefit from this workshop while working in any industry – because the principles of PMI’s framework can be applied to any industry, and any geography.

Question: What study material will I receive as part of this training? 

Answer: All the study material will be provided during the training. This includes the slide deck and other study-aids. You will also receive practice questions.
